About the instructor

Steve Carlill

Maths Tutor

Former principal Mr. Steve Carlill has ±20 year experience teaching mathematics and science. His teaching techniques bring across easy to understand methods of studying. He uses good and relevant examples and simple aids to get across concepts. Steve studied Veterinary medicine at Onderstepoort and Biochemistry and Genetics at the University of Natal. Steve has nearly 20 years experience teaching mathematics and physical science. His first teaching position was at The Woods Preparatory school and College in Port Edward,  where he later became the principal. The school achieved top matriculation awards consistently, during his tenure. He was also the Deputy principal and principal of the High School at Rehoboth in Kingsburgh. He also taught at Linpark High, Hillcrest High and Queensburgh High, Embury- Curro college, as well as various London schools, including the prestigious Eton College. Steve was also a mathematics tutor for Kip McGrath for many years. After further studying towards an MBA, he lectured Project Management at Varsity college. He then retired from teaching and started his own Safety training company and an online Mathematics tutoring business.
